Don’t wait until you are overwhelmed. Early assistance is the best route to maintaining well-being. Centre Counseling services are available to Centre students free of charge. Counseling is provided by three full-time licensed mental health professionals. Offices are located in Parsons Center for Student Health and Counseling.
Counseling sessions are confidential within the limits of the law. Legal exceptions to confidentiality apply when there is a serious risk of harm to self or others, or when there is abuse that falls under mandatory reporting requirements. Counseling records are kept separately from health records.
Professional services are provided to Centre students to assist them in being productive, successful, and well-adjusted young adults. The counselors at Centre are experienced in addressing a variety of problems. Any enrolled Centre student is eligible to use these services.

To Schedule an Appointment
To schedule for an initial counseling appointment, click here or call 859.238.5740 and the first available appointment opening will be provided for you. Please include your availability over the next few days. Typically appointments are scheduled within a few business days unless it is a crisis. In a crisis situation, scheduling will be expedited. During November and April, scheduling may take up to one week.
If you are in crisis and need immediate mental health assistance, between 8 am and 4 pm, please call Parsons Student Health 859.238.5530 and state you need to speak with a counselor and you are in crisis.
Evening and Weekends Emergency Procedure
For an after-hours counseling crisis that requires immediate attention, students may call 859.238.5740, and voicemail will give the emergency number. Or students may call the Department of Public Safety at 859.236.4357. In an immediate life-threatening crisis call 911.
