Call the Student Health office at 859-238-5530 to schedule an appointment.

Treatment for minor illness and injury, as well as preventive health services, are available.  The office is located at 309 College Street in the Parsons Center for Student Health and Counseling.

The free at-home COVID test program was suspended on September 2, 2022, due to lack of funding from Congress.  Visit this link for frequently asked questions, including how to check the extended expiration dates for self-tests that you may already have.   

The staff in the student health office includes an administrative assistant, a Licensed Practical Nurse, a Registered Nurse, and a Physician's Assistant are available during regular hours.  Physician Clinics are offered four days each week.

Biography

Cheryl, A Danville native, joined Centre College August 2017. She attended Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Danville, KY where she earned an Associates in Applied Science and License Practical Nurse Degree in December 2016. She is a first generations college graduate. She has worked in the medical field since 1994.

Biography

Dr. Clark is a Danville, Kentucky, native and a 1993 graduate of Georgetown College. He attended medical school at the Universtiy of Kentucky College of Medicine, graduating in 1997. He completed his Internship/Residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 2000. Dr. Clark then returned to Danville and joined Danville Family Physicians.

Biography

Marsha Edelen is the administrative assistant in Student Health. She has been with Centre since 1998. Marsha is available to answer questions about student health care including immunization records, women’s health clinic, doctor’s clinics, travel clinics, and more.

Brian Ellis M.D.

Biography

Dr. Ellis was raised in Benton, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Marshall County High School and a 1986 graduate of Centre College. He attended medical school at Medical College of Georgia in Atlanta, graduating in 1990. He completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Virginia-Chief Resident in 1993. Dr. Ellis then moved to Danville and joined Danville Family Physicians. Dr. Ellis is also the team physician for Centre Athletics.

Biography

Amanda, a Danville native, joined Centre College in August 2008. She attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem North Carolina where she earned her BA in psychology and a minor in French. She then received her MA as a physician assistant from the University of Kentucky. Amanda comes to us from Kentucky Clinic in Adolescent Medicine. She also worked in several emergency rooms as a physician assistant.
