Bluegrass RIDE throughout Danville
In addition to the CentreTran, BGCAP operates Bluegrass RIDE (formerly called the DanTran) which is open to the public and goes all around Danville via 3 routes. Bluegrass Ride operates Monday through Saturday except on major US holidays. As of August 7, 2023, Bluegrass RIDE is fare-FREE.

Centre College Airport Shuttle to/from LEX or SDF
Centre College offers an airport shuttle service to or from Lexington Blue Grass Airport (LEX) and Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF).
The airport shuttle is for Centre students only (no family/friend guests). Shuttle dates are set around the beginning and end of classes as well as the established breaks on the academic calendar. Students should make every effort to schedule flights on the set dates or make arrangements on their own. Remember that you are responsible for loading and unloading your bags.
Centre pays for a portion of the airport shuttle cost with the student’s fee being placed on their student account. If you schedule a shuttle yourself, the entire fee will be your responsibility and paid directly to the driver. Note that additional fees may apply for late requests, cancellations, or additional baggage (for more than 2 checked bags).

Local/infrequent travel arrangements
Public transportation and vehicle for hire services such as UBER, Lyft, or other taxi companies, are not common in Danville, KY. For infrequent travel, you may consider making arrangements (preferably several days in advance) with:

Car Rental
If you or family member(s)/friends need to rent a vehicle, please consider the following options. Since Enterprise is available at Lexington Blue Grass Airport (LEX), Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), and in Danville, it is the recommended vendor. You will need to contact the rental car agencies directly to learn about their policies and to make reservations.
Note that some car rental companies require drivers to be age 25 or older. Others may allow drivers under age 25 to rent certain vehicles (i.e. cars may be permissible, but trucks, SUVs, or vans may be prohibited), but may have additional terms and fees.
