How to Connect to Centre’s Guest Wireless Network

These instructions will guide you through connecting to the Centre College guest wireless network, which will provide you with enhanced bandwidth and access to campus resources during the duration of the account.  You must request a secure Guest Wireless account from Centre College's Information Technology Services Office or another member of the campus community that is organizing your visit.

You can view a video of this process below:

  1. On your laptop or mobile device go to your list of wireless networks. Select and join the "CentreSecureGuest" wireless network.

  1. Open a browser and type in the web address of any web site (for example, foodtv.com or espn.com). When you attempt to go to the webpage you should be redirected to the Centre Guest Portal Sign On page.  If you are having issues getting your browser to redirect to this page you may need to try navigating to more than one other web site.

  2. Enter the username and password provided to you.  Scroll through our acceptable use policy and click Accept.

  3. Within 30 second to a minute you will be redirected to Centre College' web page and are connected to the internet.  On Mac laptops you may have to turn your wireless connection off and on to renew the IP address for you machine.  This is a known issue for Mac laptops

Now, you should be connected to the Centre College wireless guest network and can browse to any site.
