 Open Enrollment

Beginning Tuesday, November 1st, you have an opportunity to review your current benefit coverage and make any changes to your elections for next year that you wish to make.

This year you will need to review the voluntary life insurance options since we are moving to a new carrier and make your selections accordingly. You will also need to review your listed beneficiaries to ensure the online data is up-to-date.

If you want to participate in a flexible spending account in 2017 you MUST go online and make your 2017 annual election. Flex elections do not roll over from year-to-year.

If you are satisfied with your 2015-2016 benefit elections regarding health insurance, dental insurance and vision insurance, and have no changes to make for 2016-2017 in regards to those particular benefits, you will not need to do anything with those benefits during open enrollment.

You can review your current benefit elections through CentreNet by clicking on the Benefits Info link found on the Staff/Faculty profile tab under the Employee Links section.

On Tuesday, November 1st and Wednesday, November 2nd, from 7:00 a.m. to 11 a.m., in conjunction with the College's Living Centred event in Chowan, Human Resources will be available to help you navigate the College’s benefit site and answer any questions you may have about this year’s open enrollment.

Human Resources staff will also be available in the Grace Doherty Library’s Basement Training/Computer Lab on the following dates to assist employees with their open enrollment questions, benefit site needs, etc.: Thursday, November 3rd from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m.; Friday, November 4th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.; Monday, November 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.; and Tuesday, November 8th from 11:20 a.m. to 12:20 p.m..
